USMC vet, Actor, Voice Over
The path of actor Michael Broderick has been a circuitous and satisfying one. After serving in the Marines from 1986-1990, the New Jersey native went to New York City to seek fortune and glory on stage and screen. Early on, Michael got sidetracked and, instead, spent 10 years playing guitar in the never-quite-dead punk rock scene of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. In 2000, while taking a series of voiceover classes, Michael had the opportunity to read for an agent from Abrams Artists Agency. The agent gave Michael his card and, soon after, signed him as a client. One of Michael’s first gigs was a long run as the voice of Arm & Hammer.
In 2004, Michael moved to Los Angeles to finally pursue acting for film and television. He brought his VO career over to the William Morris Agency (now William Morris Endeavor) and has been there ever since.
Michael’s on-camera career is off and running with roles on many popular television shows such as Extant, Criminal Minds, Justified and others while he continues to be a sought after voice actor, having had a four year run as the voice of Pennzoil, multiple national spots for McDonalds and scores of other radio and TV spots as well as roles in high profile video games like EA's Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
Michael cut his teeth as a producer/director on PSAs for the autism advocacy website RethinkingAutism.com that he founded with his wife, advertising powerhouse Dana Commandatore of DeutschLA.
