“Because of VME I received a Veteran Scholarship to attend the Lincoln Center's Summer Forum on Sports and Imaginative Thinking. VME member Ed Walsh serves as LCE's Veteran and Community Relations Manager and shared the opportunity with our VME network. As the only veteran and film producer present it was a fascinating chance to collaborate with teaching artists and apply my experience to the Lincoln Center Education model.

Read MoreBecause of VME: I was given to opportunity to attend PA 101 training at Sony which has opened many doors for me. The training taught me industry terminology, negotiation techniques, and most of all how to approach colleagues the right way. I took what I learned, networked, leveraged my current skill set and started my own adventure sports film company. Now I am on track to do some awesome stuff.
